“One thing I discovered when I became a principal at an inner city school was that the people who were making the decisions weren’t making decisions based on what the kids needed. Let’s just say, we were not educating our students the same way as they were being educated across the track. I asked, if we’re doing such a great job, why aren’t you sending any of your kids to this school? In order to make change we need people who are making the decisions to really care and be passionate because what we are putting out right now is a false narrative and we need to change it!”
